APPLETON, WI – (WISS & WGBW) – Lee Snodgrass, the Wisconsin State Assembly representative for the 52nd District announced she is running for reelection.
Snodgrass currently serves in the 57th Assembly District. When the legislative maps were redrawn the district became the 52nd Assembly District. The district includes parts of Appleton, Fox Crossing, and Menasha.
She says she is excited about the expanded boundaries of the district and looks forward to representing the communities and providing a strong local presence.
“The new lines give me an opportunity to provide new representation to wards in Appleton that have lacked an active and engaged representative,” said Snodgrass.
Rep. Snodgrass is the only candidate, so far, to announce a bid for the 52nd Assembly District.
Press release:
APPLETON, WI– Wisconsin State Assembly Representative Lee Snodgrass announced her plans for reelection to the newly drawn 52nd Assembly District today. Representative Snodgrass was first elected in 2020 and serves as the representative to the 57th Assembly District which includes parts of Appleton, Fox Crossing, and Menasha. Under the new legislative maps, the district is re-numbered as 52 and Snodgrass is the only state representative drawn into the district.
Representative Snodgrass released the following statement:
“I’m excited by the district changes which expand the boundaries further north into Appleton and west into Grand Chute. The new lines give me an opportunity to provide new representation to wards in Appleton that have lacked an active and engaged representative. I have always governed as a community-focused representative with a strong local presence and I’m excited to continue that work for new constituents. While half of the district is new, it is certainly not new to me as a 30 year resident of Appleton. My children attended Appleton North High School and our family spent countless evenings on the Memorial Park baseball diamonds or USA Youth soccer fields.”
“I’m pleased to now have all three public high schools, plus Xavier High School in the district. It is a point of regional pride to also have major Fox Cities landmarks such as the Fox River Mall, Fox Cities Stadium, the Community First Champion Center, and the USA Youth Sports Complex in my new district.”
Snodgrass serves in caucus leadership as the minority caucus Sergeant At Arms and is the ranking member on the Campaigns & Elections, and Forestry, Parks and Outdoor Recreation Committees. She lives in the heart of Appleton.
